[Geeky Guide] I Am Not a Pro-Blogger

Google ReaderImage via WikipediaI am not a professional blogger, nor do I intend to become one. The term "pro-blogger" is really hard to define precisely, but I'm pretty sure that I'm not that. Blogging remains a secondary pastime for me with actually living life in an interesting manner to be the main goal. Sometimes it gets scary when you try to venture into certain events and new experiences just to have something to blog about - that's where I cross the line.

Perhaps it's more because I'm not the most sociable person in the world and I value my time to simply be at home with my partner, enjoy a good movie together or just settle down on the couch to randomly flip channels together. I don't want to plan my life around events that I may or may not actually be interested. There's nothing wrong with such things, of course. It's just not me.

So I guess this is me officially saying the following:

(1) I don't want to get into link exchanges with people I hardly know.
(2) Advertising and SEO are not important to me - I keep the few Google AdSense modules there just for the heck of it.
(3) I fully support full RSS/Atom feeds of this blog since I myself prefer to read blogs via Google Reader. I find partial feeds or title feeds annoying.
(4) I don't plan on attending any more blogging events - I tried a few and they just weren't fun.
(5) I will always hold to one basic principle when it comes to my writing - I blog for myself.

I just felt this had to be said. My apologies if it seems like such a downer.
