Created by legendary writer Alan Moore (Watchmen, V for Vendetta, The Swamp Thing) and artist Kevin O'Neill, the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is a very good read which is infinitely superior to the movie which was supposedly based on it. Currently collected into two volumes each containing six issues, LXG, set during the Victorian era, centers around the adventures of Wilhelmina Harker as she goes around the world, forming her team and defending English interests.
Because the characters in this comics are adapted from numerous books including Bram Stoker's Dracula and The Island of Dr. Moreau, the comic is heaven for literophiles who intellectually masturbate themselves tracing the myriad literary characters to the books they originated from.
Although the art isn't in the league of Alex Ross(Kingdom Come), Dave McKean (Mirrormask) or Steve McNiven (Civil War), it is probably supposed to be almost the same as the art published in newspapers during this period.
This is illustrated in the covers of the novels which also follow a Victorian theme.
This continues even until the end of the comic, where one can find very strange advertisements which are reminiscent of a time past. It is amazing how the author and the artist manage to weave this Victorian thriller into one huge adventure worthy of attention.
Interested now? Here's how to download it.
For filesharing sites, you can use Rapidshare

However you can't download both files at once, unless you can wait another day to download part 2, So I suggest you alternate it using Megaupload, all you need to do is install the Megaupload Toolbar.

If you want to use Bittorrent, you could use this link.
http://www.isohunt.com/torrents
If it doesnt work, go to isohunt.com and search for what you want there, torrent files will go out which contain what you're searching for. :) The results I saw for LXG was mixed with other Alan Moore comics or America's Best. Using the uTorrent program you can download the entire Alan Moore torrent and just select LXG for download. :)
