Local news as of late - heck for the last 5 months or so - have been rather troubling as of late. One can't help but think of other fictional nations and forms of government that might handle things different from our current political leaders.
I'm a Trekkie, so naturally I think about Roddenberry's Utopian vision of the future that defined the Star Trek series and the Federation, the super government that is like the UN on steroids. But it was also some sort of an enlightened society that treasured science and culture more than most.
