It was a lot of fun to see the new Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, but I wasn't quite sure what kind of a movie we'd end up with. There was definitely something delightfully "New York" about Tom Holland and of course he looks like a high school age Spider-Man, so that's something in his favor. So like everyone else, I waited for the first trailer.
Well, the official US trailer premiered on Jimmy Kimmel Live and an international trailer was released shortly thereafter. Things look promising and I see moments in the trailer that remind me more of the Miles Morales Spider-Man and less the classic Peter Parker Spider-Man but the identities of different characters do make me wonder where things will go.
Are they seriously going to try avoiding both Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane as potential romantic entanglements for our young Parker? Only time will tell, I suppose. Check'em out and let me know what you think.
