[GeekyCast] Fun Applications for the License-Free Geek

My apologies for the somewhat choppy / clipped sound quality behind things in the last GeekyCast, I set about investigating the source of the sound interruptions.

I did a few test recordings prior to making the podcast and the culprit appears to be all the other programs I had running in the background along with the fact that I was searching for more information during the last podcast. Let's not do that again.

The culprits behind my choppy recording? Well, they became the topic of this GeekyCast. Here are the suspects:
  1. Pidgin
  2. GIMP
  3. Google Docs & Spreadsheets

And of course I ended things with reminders about this being Gay Pride weekend here in the Philippines. White Party on Saturday, ladies and gentlemen!

Feel free to leave your comments here on the site - keep that feedback coming!

Stay tuned!

  1. I used Gimp for my "If They Mated" post. It was very easy to use. I didn't even have to go through the tutorials.

  2. same here - i use it for all my screenshots here on the guide.

then again, for those Photoshop-obsessed converters, there's always GIMPShop.
