[Videos] Dont Hug Me I'm Scared

With the release of Episode 6 on Father's Day, Becky and Joe web series Don't Hug Me I'm Scared is finally over. And given how much of a following the series has gained since its release, naturally the internet was ablaze with theories on what it meant and thus how the entire series fit together as one larger narrative.

YouTube Explained's video  came out fairly quickly and I think it was a pretty comprehensive analysis with a lot of references to past episodes and other fun stuff. I especially appreciated its efforts to address the date 19 June 1955, which was one of the primary memes in the series that was present from the very beginning. And given how his theory flows, the resulting explanation sort of makes sense:

Channel thought released his own theory for all this, although it felt a little shallow or not quite really well-thought out. Maybe it would have been better given more time. But I did appreciate his efforts to also explain 19 June 1955.

But the explanation I was really waiting for was CP Games. He had really put a lot of thought into the different videos and had already posted a comprehensive analysis of the first 5 episodes and how those ones fit together. Sure, not all of his ideas were necessarily correct in the light of the final sixth episode, but then, he presented a lot of good ideas.

And his take on Episode 6 and thus the whole series is actually quite well-said. Sure, he doesn't become hyper focused on all the different Easter eggs but the resulting concept is a pretty solid one and a take on things I'll probably adopt to some extent.

What did you think of Don't Hug Me I'm Scared? Which theory made the most impact on you? Or maybe you have your own theory you'd like to share, feel free to post in the comments.
