[Movies] The Day the Earth Stood Still

I have very mixed feelings about this year's remake of the science fiction classic, The Day the Earth Stood Still. I mean come on, it was definitely a landmark in storytelling and based on Hollywood's track record, they're bound to fudge it up somehow.

Worse, they've cast Keanu Reeves as the lead and he has about the same emotional range of a piece of wood. Think very, very dry and ratty wood. Oh yes, that emotional. While they think this might be a good role to cast him in given he's supposed to be an alien, I still don't know if this is a good idea.

Well check out the trailer for what it's worth - it still doesn't make me feel any better about this endeavor.
