[Music] Videos of Interest

As much as I respect artists' rights to protect their content and earn money from their work, I'm also very happy that other artists have embraced the media distribution possibilities presented by the internet in general and video-sharing sites like YouTube.

A few artists have gone as far as creating their own YouTube or imeem pages to better distribute their content or pages on social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook to interact with their fans more.

Thus in more recent history, I've been enjoying official videos being released directly from the artists themselves as opposed to waiting for someone to randomly post pirated versions of the videos only to have them pulled for copyright concerns within a few days or hours.

Here are two videos that have really caught my attention as of late.

Official Jason Mraz - I'm Yours video

First up is the latest video from Jason Mraz, whose voice just turns me into putty. I mean come on - how can you not love this man? It's such a light and chill song and we could only be so lucky to have a guy like this singing to us and making us all happy as clams. Plus he's kinda cute too, haha.

Maroon 5 Ft. Rihanna "If I Never See Your Face Again"

Next up is the latest offering from Maroon 5. As much as the sight of Adam Levine alone is enough to make me want to watch any of their videos, I was surprised to see that this was a collaborative version of the song with Rihanna, who seems very determined to be the female version of collaboration junkie artists like Timbaland, haha. She's okay here and her voice does have an appropriate quality that adds value to the video, but then she just seems to strut and pose here and generally look very slutty.

Adam is just wicked hot, as always.

Oh man, I love the internet.
