In a rather surprise turn of events, former Guess Jeans model Anna Nicole Smith died yesterday due to circumstances yet unknown at the tender age of 39. Given the mysterious circumstances around her death, everyone can't help but speculate eerie similarities between her death and that of her son Daniel Smith, who died about 5 months ago also due to causes initially undisclosed at the time. Subsequent reports seem to indicate that Daniel died due "accident drug death" because of the combination of methadone, Zoloft and Lexapro, none of which we lethal on their own but put together combined in a tragic manner.
Anna herself was often rumored to be addicted to various narcotics and perscription drugs in a way similar to her movie idol Marilyn Monroe. Her often slurred speech and unusual behavior at public events fueld such rumors to the point it became common fodder for comedy shows like MADtv, which often had their own "Anna Nicole Smith Show" parody with the model depicted by Stephanie Weir.
She collapsed suddenly on Thursday while at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe and Casino and was later declared dead once at the hospital. Given the presense of illegal narcotics and perscription medications in her hotel room, plus the statements of her mother blaming drugs as the cause of her death, it doesn't seem too far-fetched to believe this was indeed the case. It's somewhat ironic for this to happen now, just shortly after a Los Angeles Court ordered for her to submit her baby for a paternity test or to return to Los Angeles to justify why she shouldn't have to do so.
Whether you loved her or hated her, you have to admit it's going to be a bit quieter without her around. Somehow, you're going to miss it.
