Magical Athlete is a racing game of pure chaos. Players roll a die and move their racer that many spaces, but each racer possesses wacky, game-breaking abilities. The game consists of four races, and the player with the most points at the end is declared the winner.
Before the races begin, players draft four racers to use throughout the game, selecting one for each race. The races alternate between the "mild" side and the "wild" side of the board, introducing different effects and challenges. A race concludes once two racers cross the finish line, with points generally awarded only to these two players.
